[OMP] How to Stop Wasting Time
Unlock your full potential
The One-Minute Skim:
Feel like you’re wasting time? Here’s how to get back on track:
1. Stop Searching for Shortcuts: Focus on doing the work instead of looking for quick tips. Action drives progress, not endless preparation.
2. Start Researching Early: Dive into genuine research sooner. Use tools like audiobooks to reduce friction, but remember, real effort is key.
3. Set Boundaries: Learn to say no. Understand your needs and prioritize them. Not every request deserves your time.
Implement these strategies and see your productivity soar!

Hey achievers,
Managing time effectively is one of the most important things any of us can do.
Many of us fall into the trap of seeking quick fixes, thinking they will make us more productive.
However, true productivity lies in the actions we take and the priorities we set. Having the fundamentals will make that new productivity app actually…productive.
Let's explore some practical strategies to stop wasting time and start achieving more in our daily lives.
Stop Looking for Quick Tips and Hacks
We often fall into the trap of looking for quick tips. It feels productive but often leads to procrastination. Instead, we should focus on actual work. Taking action is what moves the needle, not preparing endlessly. Shift from seeking motivation to doing the tasks at hand.

Start Studying and Researching Earlier
Research is essential. Real learning happens when we dig deep into the subject. We need to start earlier and make research a habit.
Use tools like audiobooks to reduce friction. Apps can help, but they are not a substitute for genuine effort.
Stop Assuming Everything is About You
We waste time when we believe everything revolves around us. Set boundaries. Understand your needs and the needs of others. Learn to say no. It's okay to decline requests and focus on your priorities.
Start Assuming You’re Going to Run Out of Time
Assume time is limited. Stay ahead of deadlines. Parkinson’s Law states that work expands to fill the time available. Start early and finish tasks before they become urgent. Early action prevents last-minute stress.
Plan that day accordingly.
Stop Thinking There Isn’t Enough Time
Reframe how you view time. Everyone has the same hours in a day. Focus on attention. Where you place your attention defines your productivity. Manage distractions and prioritize important tasks.
Don’t make fear based decisions.
Final Thoughts and Encouragement
Balance productivity with self-care. Taking breaks is crucial. Do your best with what you have now. Small changes over time lead to significant improvements. Focus on what matters and adjust your habits accordingly.
